Topic: TouchWheel BackSpin Delay [FIXED] - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Ok when I have "touchwheelbackspin" set to "YES" theres a small delay when I let go of the jog (using Pioneer CDJ 850's) yet when I have it set to "NO" the delay is gone BUT I can no longer do back spins.

Is there anyway this can be looked at and tightened up?? For anyone that scratches this is no good.

I want the backspins but this delay has to go. Please help or is there some other settings I need to change?? The delay is not there in SSL/SDJ so I know its something in VDJ.

Make sure you start to move the jogwheel forward just before releasing.

Really? Pushing forward on a cdj is something I had to break myself of coming from vinyl. It just doesn't feel natural that way.

Can this not be changed or tightened up?? Even when using them with timecodes I don't have to push forward.

After a conversation we had with Adion, he agreed on adding a parameter or by default ignore jogwheel notes if the playing speed is reaching very low, which will resolve what you have requested.
However, it is not on the high priority list, so not sure when will this feature will come. Hang on, but dont bump ! lol

I honestly don't ever remember this happening with VDJ 7?

Gonna have to hook everything up an try it out again cause if 7 ends up bein better then that's the direction we need to go back to.....

I am sure the Team will take a look and fix. Thats why we call some builds as "beta" btw ;)

Can you define "worse" ? More delay instead of less ?
Because what i get here is not more delay, but certainly no big difference.
PS. I am not good in scratching :)

A lot more delay to the point if it not even being useable for me......

Much, much better 👍 I can work with this! Talking about the newest beta also.

Maybe another 10-20%?? 😳

Still would like to see this improved on even more........

The next beta build will have it upped a bit more and whilst far from ideal you could always toggle backspin functionality from a button if you wanted.

Oh nice!!

And I didn't realize I could do that, could elaborate?

setting 'touchWheelBackspin' ? setting 'touchWheelBackspin' off : setting 'touchWheelBackspin' on

This will toggle the 'touchWheelBackspin' setting.

Badass!!

Thanks bro!! This will come in handy 😜

setting 'touchWheelBackspin'

If using on a custom button, then the above would be better as the button would illuminate when on.

The other code will work but doesn't provide the visual feedback. Plus this ones shorter ;-)
