Topic: MixTrackPro Headphone Don't Work - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Just bought a MixTrackPro today and I'm having a problem with the headphones that won't work at all...

I have my M-Audio NRV-10 as my master 7&8 and my headphones to the MixTrackPro 3&4 in advance soundcard setup and can't get my headphones to work at al....its a new controller...l??

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks,

Joey.....

I setup Mixtrackpro as Outputs: Master : Chan 1&2 / Headphone : Chan 3&4 and then the headphones worked, but I couldn't find a way to isolate the preview from the playing deck, so both channels are heard and the "Cue Mix" pot does nothing to control the source channels...?

I couldn't get it to work in Advance soundcard setup at all, I have a Mk2 and have no problems in advance to config and it works as exspected, but no luck with Mixtrackpro setup as a headphone card...

Does anybody else have this problem..?

@Blulite, yes the "Cue Gain" pot was full and nothing in advance setup was heard...

Thanks,

Joey....

Well just an update, still no solution to my Mixtrackpro headphone problem, so I returned the unit and bought a new Hercules DJ console RMX and I am having the same problem with the headphones......the real frustrating part to all of this is when I swap the RMX with my MK2 controller it works as expected, no problems?

My setup in advance is master NRV-10 mixer 7&8 and my Headphone is DJ console rmx 3&4, Can anybody please help me with this...

Thanks,

Joey...

Tried these setting and still nothing, only works in a single card setting for both Master and headphone...

This setting does not work...

This setting doesn't work eithere...

joey, if your hearing both tracks in your headphones, you need to turn the cue/pgm knob all the way to cue.

this should solve your problem.

if its not that, then im not sure why its not doing as its told, although if you are going to use advanced setup, leave the other setup options as headphones, single card. and see if that works.

Yes, on the headphone monitor pot there is a "Mix" and "Cue" setting, but only works with the single soundcard setup below and I'm using Two soundcards setup which doesn't work so far...

Can someone confirm this by trying the soundcard setup ^above^....

Thanks,

Joey...

Dam, just installed 7.5 hoping that woud solve my Rmx headphone problem and still can't get it to work with a two card configuration,

Can someone tell me if this is possible using the Herculer Dj Console Rmx as a second card just for headphones, using channels 3&4.?

Thank you,

Joey....

Try opening the Hercules control panel and switching the setting from WDM to ASIO. Then reconfigure inside the software using the Hercules ASIO drivers instead as it looks like it's currently set in WDM mode.

perfectly doable, pop over to my blog on my profile and read the mixtrack pro headphone setup, its just the same for the RMX.

@superaceman

This will present a problem if you look at my advance settings above, because my Master NRX-10 soundcard mixer has a ASIO driver that is running, so if I also activate the Rmx ASIO driver this will cause a conflict in soundcard settings?

Am I right about this..?

Thanks,

Joey...

no, you need to set the 2 cardds options first before setting your advanced options, this should allow you to route mains via one card and phones via another.

You don't need to set the 2 card option, that's the whole point on the advanced config, so you can route your soundcards. Atleast in my mind it makes sense, plus I've never had to set it to the 2 card option and then do the same in the advanced config.

Just my opinion

ive always set the 2 card thing before advanced config. if it dont need to be done then ive been doing it for nothing..lol

It could just be a fluke on my end, lol, but I've never set it before. Try it and let us know if everything works for you.

Can you give me a step by step how to get the souncard config to do what you are decribing, once you set a two card setup you can't go into advance, unless there is a specific way of doing it, which I haven't figured out...

Thanks,

Joey....

i just setup the 2 card way, then goto advanced as usual and route my audio through which ever channels i want.

Can you post a jpg image of your two card config and advance setup, and what ver. of VDJ are you using?

Thanks,

Joey...

no sorry, the reason for this is everything is explaiined in the guides i wrote that i have posted earlier and are redily available on my profile homepage in my blogs section.

this is not a personal thing, but peole keep asking the same question when if they googled "mixtrack pro headphone setup virtual dj", they would find hundreds maybe thousands of posts with the same info.

i will once again post the links to my guides

heres the basic and advanced Mixtrack Pro setup

and heres my general overall pc guide

Sorry for the trouble you feel, but I checked your Quote "Guide" which turns out to be pretty rudimentary and doesn't solve my issue...

I've since been in touch with Hercules Tech and engineering is working on a solution...

So just Chill Out OKay You....
