Cstoll, may I ask how one can incorporate multimodality into our own custom configuration?

I don't really need it, but am curious... before when I played with this it appeared that you are required to send some kind of SYSEX string to the controller. Can VirtualDJ handle this now, or is this completely off track? I'm not sure if it might be documented somehwere... or is it a big secret?

It is documented in the MIDI Wiki on creating a definition - but it is not straight forward on 'how' the mechanics work ... but one needs to use a definition of their own design to do it. I can post more a bit later on how it all works.

Yeah, I'm definitely curious. Perhaps I could think of a cool use for it.

I would be very interested as well. I can think of mode switching use outside of just the stantons, though that is where I would primarily use it. I have tried the new mapers out yet, but my two biggest gripes using darouter and my maps were the pitch bend not moving very well (limit of DaRouter software) and not being able to have the LED's on the outer ring move in time with the music (very useful for backscratching). Hopefully I'll have a chnace to mess with yours this week.

Hi guys,
I can't find the dascratch mapper anywhere. I have a licensed version of vdj 6 but don't see the mapper in the download section. I just got 2 dascratch's and I would like to have the most recent stable mapper. I don't mind tweaking it but I don't want to re invent the wheel. Can anyone help me out?

The mapping is now native in the latest version. There is no need to download any files.

Really nice work! Once all of the LED feedback is implemented, this is going to be a great option!

Thanks all for your work and feedback. And especially Chris (you rock sir!).

I looked at the preset mapped objects and they are only a few buttons on the device. I have read where triple9 and others have made several mod's and additions to the basic mapping. Why are these not available in the plugins download section of the site? Is every user supposed to map out his or her own settings independently?

lil FYI on the magnetic piece. If you have a macbook, it actually uses a magnetic sensor to sense the lid being closed. keep your scs 3d too close to the right side and you screen will go blank. Drove me nuts the first time it happened because I thought my computer crashed. Thank God I was in the studio. Still and awesome unit. I don't recomend it as a stand alone unless all you spin is electronica, trance or techno. I personally use it as a cue, effect and loop controller. All my music sycning is still done on timecoded turntables.

Cstoll -

is the device and mapper xml viewable or available for our own manipulation? specifically for tweaking the LED's and pad behavior?

That would be nice to see... I was afraid to ask.

Register, update VDJ to the latest version, and you will be good to go.

Sounds good. I do like the new native implementation of the SCS.3d. As has been mentioned, there are just a few things like the Pitch slider being set to relative vs. absolute.

If you could create native implementation like in the MIXX youtube video, that would be fantastic!

Thanks, for taking the time to do this BTW.

Has anyone had any trouble with the Stanton System 3 and music videos? I have not spent enough time with my System 3 yet but when I was at a gig where I was running videos I was having trouble with the VDJ locking up while I had the System 3 hooked up and was running videos. When I took it off I did not have any more trouble. I probably just need a Mac. I am running an ASUS X83VM-X2, nvidia GeForce9600M GS with 1 gig video memory, 4 gig ram, Vista 64 bit and Centrino 2 2.13 ghz.

ld say beef up your RAM. VDJ caches the entire file for improved response, and if your RAM gets low I've seen this happen. Videos of course take more space then sound files do.
