Scratch working?? in 6?

yup. It's a little on the fast side when the track is stopped, but works great in play.

You should be able to adjust the sentivity in options on 6.0.2 for three different jogwheel modes. Does this not make any difference?

F N Phenominal. Now I can stop hacking away at my pathetic attempts to make a control file.

I tried adjusting the "full" setting on the device file but it only affects how it responds in play mode. I tried making it a "touch" scratch wheel, but then it didn't work at all (it would be nice to just be able to tap down in vinyl mode and hold the record...). If I can fix that and figure out a way to make the blue LED's spin to the music (This is a DaRouter issue I think) I will dump my CDX's with timecodes completely...

setting the sensistivity to about 20% did the trick. Seems a lil drastic, but I'm not gonna knock success. Still working on the touch and hold issue.

using the midi map to troubleshoot the touch and hold is an issue with DaRouter. It won't send a signal that says I'm holding my finger in place to stop the track. I'll have to get BomeMidi and play with this.

What does it send, note on/off or two different notes for when you press/release?

Not sure. I beloved it just a cc signal; that's why touch scratch won't work mapped to the jog wheel.

Great to hear your progress. I hope that you'll be able to work out all the kinks so that us VDJ users can use the SCS.3D the way it was intended! Keep up the good work!

I'm tempted to go and buy one now...

Here's a 3d, with ext. mixer, and audio 4.

I do have a question. When the mapper and the device def are in their prospective folders; the scs3m isn't recognized. If removed, 3m is. What exactly is the relationship between the mappers, the device defs, and the simple midi wrapper. As you're probably guessing, the first thing I did after getting the 3ds running was to connect the 3m with the intention of mapping it's functions. But no such luck. Any ideas?

Not a major issue for me because it is performing great in DVS style with the 3d's as the decks. I'm running at 40% btw.

Thanks Again for hooking this up !!

Simple Midi wrapper and Dascratch pop up if no device in the native mapper files match the description. I'm try to get an SCS.3m to play with, but I can't find one as a stand alone. If I get one I should be able to make this work. My next project (after playing with bomemidi) will be to make a plugin for VDJ that will make support a little more native.

I believe you were pointing to me as I made the files ;) Fell free to download the zip off the site and pass it out in the downloads section. I'm planning to code a plugin for it as well in c++; I'll proly need some help with that... Once I get my hands on an SCS.3m I'll work on that as well. I'm gonna get BomeMidi this weekend and also maybe make a custom map for DaRouter as well to enhance it's use with VDJ. Good job on the new MIDI engine. I know a lot of guys are complaining, but on the PC setup, it rocks!

sorry 9 cubed, wasn't tryin to steal your credit or nothing.
they just know me cause I've been belly-achin about this for a while.

I wasn't smart enough to make my own.
i kept trying to modify all the mappers that were already up.
The best I could do was really fast forward movement(not so good to scratch)

Can you tell me which controls in which xmls I can tinker with for scratch sensitivity settings?

Again, Thank you!

Got the SCS3M running now. I took some of the controls already in the Def. and changed the channel and CC values to match the 3M.

No prob. Which controls did you adjust in the devices file? the jog wheels? what did you set them to? I'd like to update them on mine as well. I don't do a lot of scratching, but it does make for a good intro at times.

I just changed the eq to work on the 3m, and changed the gain to a CF.
the jogs just say something like invert= true or something(away fom home right now)
This is what I was wondering, what other settings to try on there. I haven't changed those yet.
