I love denon decks, just NOT the 1200's
I'm a fan of the 3500's
That being said, I would go with the pioneer 400's over the Denon 1200's
Both control the software so get the one that has more features, better sound, more reliable. I HATE the platter on the denon 1200's

i'd have to agree 3500 > 400 > 1200

Anyway, If we stick to the title of the post; It was comparing the 1200 with the 400 nothing less nothing more. 1200> 400

To tell you the truth boys, i'd take either any day of the week. Comparing apples to apples. I got 400's for the midi features and flash drive capabilities. And mp3 cd. Denon's are quality machines though.
