I'm thinking of buying this mixer when I get my tax rebate check, on paper it looks pretty good & most of my behringer products have held up. Unfortunatly a few of their products have still been crap. Do you think it'd be worth the $300?;^]

Looks dope ;)
havent had the best experience when it comes to durability with Behringer stuff myself, but maybe I had bad luck...
That mixer looks great though

Their stuff looks great on paper Timmy..and after a few months I had a lot of bleed thru and over all sound quality drop....Maybe I just got unlucky.....but after trying four or five of their product they are never going to get my money on any of their mixers again.

hehe, It almost looks too good to be true at that price with all those features, that's what worries me. On the other hand, if it does work good that's one hell of a deal. Good think I've got until may to decide..lol;^]

That's exactly why I'm asking. I've only had one behringer dj mixer (vmx100) which worked good while I had it, but I only had it about 6 months before I had upgraded to the gemini ps04. I have had my main soundboard though (ub 1222fx pro) from behringer a few years now with no problems. But again, that seems awfuly low for what it is & it may be too good to be true;^]

it looks very "buttony" lol
i have the vmx1000 and had it for 3 years - good starting mixer
this is behringer imo - good starting
what kind of dj are you?
scratch - no because of the many buttons, etc
club - ehh more i guess, alot of features but some features might be half a$$ed
mobile - prob no... and most behringer products have very bad mic feedback imo

I'm mobile for the most part. I do mostly small dances until summer, then it's mostly pool parties and BBQ's.
Truth is, I probably won't need all these features but I'm thinking they might come in handy, especialy the effects, sampling and kill switches for when I have to switch over to cd's;^]

BLEGH, behringer bites. very low quality gear, and as someone posted on another thread which is very true, they dont have original ideas. theyre like to shrimp of audio (bottom dwellers that eat other sea-creatures crap). stay away from behringer is my advice

What's everybody's opinions on vestax mixers? I've found a pretty good looking 19" for about $150 which would leave me a little room to add on to my PA system;^]

Hi. Vestax; very nice in my opion. Never heard a bad word about them. I've got a pmc 250 and very happy with it (although no mic eq which is a pain!)

Thanks for the input, this is the Vestax I'm looking at http://www.music123.com/Vestax-DSM-360-3-Channel-DJ-Mixer-800086-i1169314.Music123
I'm going to have about $400, $450 max to spend with my tax rebate in may. So right now my top choice is the vestax plus a stanton c.314 cd player (my gemsound cdm 150 is sooooo basic though it plays any cd no matter how dirty or scratched). I'm still tossing around ideas however, I thought about spending it all on a new PA system, but I'm afraid I won't get a very good one for $400;^]

I own one of these mixers Timmy.
I like it.
2 Mics
3 channels/6 inputs
One Wedding reception did, I had VDJ in channels 1/3 vdj samples in channel 2.
A DVD player in line 4 (for slideshow audio), and a Macbook in the line b input of channel 2
Worked well.
I had to send it for a warranty repair for a shorted mic gain pot(etiometer). It was giving full mic gain even though the gain was completely down to zero.
I recently got it back and have since put it back to service without any trouble.
I also have the American Audio 3 channel rackmount mixer. The 2 are very comparable, for mobile and light club use chose either. But for more heavy club use I'd get something a little more higher end.

Thanks Marcel, that sounds about right for me as a mobile guy & it sounds like it may compliment the RMX pretty well too. Though my major concern right now is durability & had heard good things about the higher end Vestax products. I've heard some good things about the stanton c.314 player as well. I'm finaly tired of shady brands like gemini & want to spend on good equipment.
Anybody have opinions on the stanton c.314? I'd only be able to get one but it looks so far like a wise investment for my budget;^]

I'm not gonna tell you what product to buy, but I do have some tips. Never buy what you can afford, save your money, and buy what you want. Do not buy it, unless you have touched it. Plan ahead, you may not need that feature today, but will next month. If it doesn't fit your form factor, stop looking at it. There is a reason it's so cheap, it's called "low end". You get what you pay for. There is a reason the first version doesn't have everything you want, it's on the next version, that's coming in six months. So don't be in a rush to be first, because it won't last for long.
As far as Behringer equipment goes, ever wonder why all their stuff looks just like some one else's?

Well, idealy I'd like to get the Denon s1000, love the idea of it's next track/ crossfade feature. Unfortunatly, I'm only pulling in about $700 a month & don't have anything left to put back after paying rent and buying groceries, and getting the mixer I'm afraid may be a must considering my crapped out gemini ps 04. That's why I'm looking at the stanton c.314, it seems to have most all the features (most of which I don't "need" but would be useful) of the Denon except for next track/ crossfade at a price right in my budget. I've been searching for negative reviews but I can't seem to find any yet though I am still looking. Pretty sure I'll end up getting the Vestax mixer, though I've got 'till may 2nd to decide for both;^]

I see your problem. You are trying to eat, put a roof over and DJ. Geez, you want everything. The first two, are interfering with the most important one, being a DJ. Why do you have to eat everyday? Tell the landlord to take a chill pill, and you will take care of him next month, because you have things to do. You have to get your priorities in order.

lol... I could always resort to soup kitchens again..lol. I'd have to go to the general assembly to confront my landlord (subsidised housing), I don't that'd work out too well..lol. Seriously though, one piece at a time, I'm still using a mono Kustom PA for my sound system, and they wonder why I call myself a "budget" DJ;^]

I just slit my wrist in the booth, and blood is all over my console. At least you are honest, and have a sense of humor.
