Hi people I'm just on setting up my RX3 on virtual dj . So far I've got majority of it working.
Issues are BEAT FX is not responsive at all sound color fx works fine but tap button and on off blue button I get nothing.
Also my output meter works on ch1 ch2 but nothing through master (lights)
Anyone got a better mapping or link thanks for help

XDJ-RX3 ?
It should work right out of the box.
However, for everything to work as it should, your sound setup should use the XDJ-RX3 soundcard.
For instance, if you're using "software" mixer (default setting) the channel VU meters will light up as they are MIDI controlled at this point, but the master VU meter will not light up if it does not receive any sound from VirtualDJ (if your sound setup does not use XDJ-RX3 soundcard)
If using software mixer, the effects section of the controller is controlling the effects of VirtualDJ
If you switch to hardware mixer, then the effects are hardware, but still you have to use the correct audio setup.
Generally speaking you should NOT need to mess with the mapper of the device. All you have to do is to choose which mixer mode suits your needs best, and follow the setup guide

Thanks for replying.
So using the contrillers hardware has answered my question if I'm using it in midi mode I have no control over the fx section.
I have an xz and use that as midi and everything works.
Hopefully virtual dj do a new map for the RX3

It just happened that I used XDJ-RX3 2 days ago, and FX section works absolutely fine to control software effects in MIDI mode.
So either you messed something, or you did not understand how the fx section works with software.
So, please take a read on the effects section of the manual. Hopefully it will clear up a few things for you
