Topic: Quick broadcast question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is it not possible to broadcast direct anymore as in older versions, because(shock, Horror,lol) i don`t do social media of any kind but i would like to broadcast to a select number of friends. I`m using vdj 2020 32bit and windows 8.1

Yes i saw that but don`t you have to go through vdj servers. Used to be able to go direct from my computer to another

Its still from direct from your computer to another...
The "through VDJ servers" is just an interface to make it easy to share, and for listeners to tune in :)

Before, a long time ago, you would see the tune in link in VirtualDJ as http://129.128.200.10/virtualdj.mp3 (where the numbers would be your IP).
You can still share same link to your friends if you want, find your IP here https://www.whatsmyip.org/

The link you now see in newer VirtualDJ, is just a nicer link, to your profile page at VirtualDJ with a radio player to tune in ...
But if you prefer the "old" direct to IP way, it still works as well ;-)

That`s what i was looking for, thanks rune but the virtualdj route will do it
