Topic: No mic on recording

Hi everyone
I am using a VDJ8 and a VMS5 controller and Windows 7. When I press the record button I can hear the music on the recording but not the mic. I can hear myself through the speakers when I talk through the mic but the mic does not come through on the recording. I need the mic to work to broadcast on line. What am I doing wrong?

I'm guessing the mic inputs on the VMS5 are hardware based and therefore won't feed through to VDJ. Have a look in the manual for the controller to see if that's correct.
