the only way to go louder is to turn up the amps really can't get any clearer then that.

if the venue doesn't allow you access to them ask them to make an adjustment. it's your only solution ............................

@pungent, how exactly are you connecting your controller into the sound system at the venue? Are you using your own cables to do so?

Different controllers could in theory have different output levels, so it could just be that.

Also the different types of output connector, cables used and connection method could have a bearing on the end result. Unbalanced RCA outs will usually be lower than balanced XLR or TRS jacks, and interconnecting balanced / unbalanced can lose you decibels.

Mmmmm never thought of that. My adapters from 1/4 jack to rca are balanced but using there leads which is xlr to rca.

One of the other djs plugs into his laptop and another uses his own xlr to xlr.

Might take my own balanced xlr to 1/4 jacks next time and see what happens.

You may be on to something.

The system is a powered EV speaker system and we just have two xlr plugs in the DJ box we plug into.
