Topic: BEST DJ CONTROLLER - Page: 2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

The Best controller for me is the DDJ S1. Everything is laid out nicely and has all the main features I Need. I also have a New DDJ SX and I don't like the way it feels. The jogs look nice and the effects are crazy but, I don't feel comfortable when I am dj ing at a party.

wrong question

for Music MIX or Video Mix ?

for music maybe Pioneer SX but for Video... maybe DENON DN-MC6000 (3000)

You can't answere this question that easily.
It depends on many variables like money, space, weight, mic-useage, connection possibilities, portability, how often you need it and where ... etc...

I think its important to get your hands on a couple of controllers yourself. Feel the wheels, knobs, weight. Here the sound...

If you just go by hype or technology, then I would vote for the SX. At least until the NS7 II isn't out yet.

Sorry, I have to ask that: Why do you think the MC6000 is better for videos?

Caliente123

+ 1

Pioneer DDJ‑S1

Easy...Look at the picture Denon 6000 or 3000 ( this controllers is ready for video EFX without the need special mappers ) .
but it is only my view and therefore say MAYBE ..

sorry for my English.

The MC6000, has a few video functions built in. Like cross fader set to audio, video, or both. Can also toggle between mixer, video, or scratch windows. Also transitions, and video effects buttons and knobs. One of best features for me is the booth out with two band eq. Which you can also use as a zone out to another room, and choose which player to send there, or master. The two mics with three band eq is great. With the new firmware update, you can also use time codes. The ASIO drivers suck for me, but they work for others, so I use the WMD drivers. It is also the right size for most of my club gigs, not too big.

I dont know what controller is best for all people but I know what program that is best for all Djs..

Just found a cool picture...and its not the best program or vehicle ;-)

The VMS 4.1 is decent for being cheaper

And the best controller of all time is...

Technics 1200mk2

I've been very happy with the VCI's from Vestax personally ( VCI-300 & VCI-380 & VCI-400) , just love those controllers..

The new Pioneer DDJ-SX / DDJ-SR are also at my top favorite list.
