Caddog,

Do you use Timecode? Works good too?

Hi Pitufo,

Since I do a lot of wedding I found that having turn tables are really not needed,
However, with VDJ I can now do way better with on the spot live mixing when I get to the last few hours...

I use two laptop and I'm able to cue up music, sound effects and beats again,
but now owning VDJ I find I can do it all with only one laptop...
I haven't yet gotten into the 4 channels that VDJ 7 has but I will early next year
when I get a new 4 or 6 channel mixer...

CAD it is still there there is a Virtual DJ icon and a Virtual Dj Pro, its not an upgrade Its seperate

Thanks Discorbrian24,

I did find that...

Since I created VirtualDJ 7 when I install VDJ 7
I did find my old VDJ 6 and open it under the old location...

However, I haven't need to use it yet...
I'm find VDJ 7 more easier to work with and opens faster than VDJ 6.
Also, with all the new features I can see going back to 6...

7 is closer to Heaven... Hahahaha

NICE glad is all workin well for you!!

CadDog, I'm glad you got everything flowing smoothly. I too figured out why I wasn't getting my cue points, BPMs, etc. I just needed a good nights rest and I stopped thinking logically and started thinking like Microsoft. If you (or anyone else) can't get this info to show up, look for my post "VDJ 7 database issue".

VDJ is a great product. I knew the programmers wouldn't overlook something that huge for an upgrade. Enjoy!

CadDog,

Yeah, totally understand your setup - no need for timecode at the wedding setup. I stopped brining my TTs to weddings because that's not usually the TT crowd. I would get comments like, "Do they still make those" (referring to turntables AND records). It made me look out of place. Most of my gigs are at the club and I do a lot of mixing on the turntables/CD turntables so I need the Timecode to work.

I can get everyhing going on VDJ7 EXCEPT for the timecode; it does not work at all. If I could figure that one thing out, I'm good to go. I am dumbfounded and would still like to get some help in figuring out why. Apparently though, I am at the mercy of this board and although my problem has been posted on a couple of forums here, I haven't had any luck with a resolution. Don't know where else to turn. Hey, if I can't get help at the official web site for the product...just feeling a little frustrated right now so I'm doing my homework on other DJ softwares...most importantly for me, customer support!

I've done a quick search and couldn't see any posts about timecode issues from you but it's possible I could have missed it. Any chance of a link?

Also have you tried calling support?

Dj Pitufo,

I sounds like you may have missed a step because I can't see the people at Virtual DJ NOT covering and checking timecodes...

I hope you find your answer really soon because I know about being frustrated which was one of the reasons I really didn't want to upgrade. I knew it would take time for me to get up to speed but as it turns out, for me, there wasn't...

I upgraded and was playing music right away...

Good Luck buddy and thanks for your inputs...

CadDog,

Thx for trying to help me out. The more I think about it, the more I think it has to be a simple fix. You're right, I probably missed something along the way, just can't figure it out. If I figure it out, I'll post iin case anyone else has the same problem. Thx again!
