The RMX comes with VirtualDJ v5 Console Edition, not v7.

Please register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have not purchased the software, then please support it and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Your RMX entitles you to a significant discount of 50% off the cost of upgrading.

Make sure that you also have the latest drivers and firmware installed: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common%20Device%20Drivers.html

Also, check that your computer has no performance issues and is optimised for VirtualDJ: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Performance%20Issues.html

Dj pusher - u r a genius! I had the same problem with the "not responding" message. Tried all the fixes sent by Hercules and virtual dj. Optimized system, uninstalled and reloaded the program and nothing worked. Finally, I tried taking the battery out of the laptop and it worked great! Thanks.

I agree. The battery issue caused my Virtual DJ LE 6 to freeze, right before I was supposed to start my set! Taking out the battery and rebooting solved it. My laptop was a Lenovo x61

I think the battery thing has solved my issues!!! I have a few gigs coming up in the next few weeks, I'll let you know. This has happened on and off for two years. It plays well for two gigs..and it happens again. I have bought new cables, RMX and thought about a new laptop...but I thought everything else is running on my cpu just fine, so it must be the rmx or my computer...right? When I read this post it was 95 degrees outside and when I took my battery out it was hot as hell. I was just practicing for tomorrows gig. It must have happened 5 or 6 times and since I took out the battery...nada!

If this is truly the cure, I sincerely owe you a sincere debt of gratitude.

P.S. I am using a purchased copy of VDJ 7 and windows 7. 8gb ram

Thank you for posting!!

you do not have to take out your battery just buy a power USB hub and should be good
