I own a Numark DXM01usb, and it has been rock solid for me. It is not a midi mixer, but dependable as all hell. Its going on four years now without even a hiccup....Nice seeing you again Jeremy ;^)

Hi Terry,
Good to be back... I've been sooo dang busy this year. 45 weddings! Have my last of the year this weekend.
My rain empath xlr output just crapped the bed... so I can either get it fixed and keep what I have or look into the midi mixer again. . .
The empath has a CRYSTAL clear mic channel when engaged... and this is what I love about the board. . . Sadly Eq on each channel doesn't do much . . . If I want to drop the bas in a song, I have to do this in the program, my board will not drop it much at all.

Great topic,
The hisssss can also be to do with the cabling used throughout the system and the quality of the mic of course.

absolutely.
But the hiss is not there in my Empath board, but when I use the same equipment in a numark or american audio board it IS there. . . thus leading me to believe the hiss is not my wires or Shure microphone but the board itself.

thanks for the reply, but at this time I am only looking at a Mixer, not a all in one player. .
BUUUT. . . has anyone used the Numark Mix Deck? Doesn't look to bad, but once again, I'm worried about the microphone input hiss.

Is anyone using a A&H zed10fx? Can't get the usb to work. Wondered if anyone has any ideas on what might cause it? I've turned the volume on the comp all the way up, still no signal to the mix board. The channel is fine with a regular line input.
Thanks
Thanks

I want to use the audio out of my computer via usb to the mixboard instead of the standard rca. The audio should go both ways on the usb shouldn't it?
Thanks

Same here. Excelent sound but the latency is a bit to high if you're a "scratch dj" (in my opinion).

I use a xponent with vdj7, works like charms but i would like to add a effects unit to my set up. thinking about something along the lines of the EFX - 500 or the likes of it. My question is, is it possible to integrate effects unit with my midi controller all together on vdj?
(this may be a noob question but your help would be greatly appreciated!!)
