its a spring that can move down stairs.
Kids in the 1960s were easily amused.
Kids in the 1980s were just that bored that they wanted a dumb spring!!!
As if the Commodore 64 wasnt enough amusement :$

Remixes or mashups definitely work when having to play the same song more than once.

Funny... my local peeps hate "Remixes" and "mashups" .... they want to hear the same song they hear on their IPOD.

Same here in Phoenix, except late night when they are drunk I can get away with playing the "house" remix of a crappy 80bpm hip hop song if it is good straight remix without many effects, samples or long "dub" instrumentals. House remixes of dancy pop like lady gaga work real well, bu then thay really should have been europop/house dance anyway to begin with.

Maybe the mashup think is just a Miami, New York, LA thing becasue I see the Djs here and in Vegas trying to play mashups and with very few exceptions they usually destroy their dance floor....bu the Djs keep playing them cause they think it's cool.

OMG, nobody would buy me a Slinky toy when i was young, and now that i have my own money, even i dont want to buy me one either! lol

You know they make those out of plastic now...no kidding I saw one a toys r us the other day (no need to ask why I was in toys r us....just a kid a heart looking for some stuff).

Many mashes suck, but some are gold, the good DJ is he or she who knows the difference.

If I'm in a house music club, I won't play any hip-hop or R&b on there, but could use the remix of American boy (Esther) or 50 Cent vs bob Sinclair Ayo Technology mix... Really stoning or what about Hi-Tack (Silence) with Everything but the girl (Miss You), I have also Fragma Toca's Miracle vs Shining Star (Pistol Pete Bootleg)... really burn the dance floor.

I think is about taste and types of music... and DJ understanding to move their public.

Ouch, I'm not a good DJ, however, what is a mashup??

That goes without saying...the problem, at least here in Scottsdale is very few of the Djs are any good and all the Djs copy each other so it is like the blind leading the blind and the club owners can't figure out why their sales are down 30% and more.

The clubs can't get good Djs for 4 factors (1) They would not know a good Dj even when one kicks them in the ass, (2) If they do recognize a good Dj they don't pay them enough to work (the average DJ in Scottsdale is $150 per night donw from over $300 4 years ago while the averaqge customer ticket is $40 per night!), (3) They rely heavily on "promoters" for each night and the promoters just have their friends who are willing to work for free to get experience spin, (4) When the club is hiring their own Djs they are more worried about what a Dj looks like than sounds like (the ads for gigs actually specify to send a head shot and/or portfolio with your resume!

I sent one job just a picture of my hands....I got a response from the owner to say I send the wrong picture, I said no, I send a picture of the body parts I use to perform my job....needless to say he was not ammused.
