That does explain things a bit better though Chris. Thanks!

wow....... alot to read!

One of the problems here is, people think they have a right to "get it". You do not have a right to the inner workings of deals that are made. It is none of your business. Frankly, I never understood why anyone would buy their drugs from the junkie instead of the dealer. Let me see if I get this straight. VDJ has a great program, and they strike up a deal with Numark and PCDJ, which is suppose to be profitable for everyone involved. What ever the particulars are, is their business. Now, for what ever reason, some of you decided to buy your software from Numark and PCDJ. The thing is, I don't have to understand your reasoning, and really don't care. However, you made the decision, so stop crying. Do you buy acetametophen from Walgreen's, and then cry to the makers of Tylenol, if something goes wrong? You bought acetametophen, not Tylenol. Get it?

where to start...
the junkies drugs ARE better because if the junkie gettin high off his stuff that means its the best he can get his hands on!!!! lmao. whereas the dealer dosent even think his stuff is good enough to smoke it.

You don't get it, but that's OK.

Hi,

your'e all entitled to your opinion.

But is it not a fact that PCDJ VJ paid a licence fee to Atomix to sell a rebranded version of Virtual DJ and that Atomix ceased that agreement. Therfore leaving no avenue for technical support other than PCDJ VJ's own support team?

Also that left NO UPGRADE path to virtual DJ 6.0.

As i see it, it was not PCDJ that pulled the plug, but atomix. Which on the face of it is a slap in the face for PCDJ as they sold literally hundreds upon hundreds of copies in the UK. Apparently, it was their biggest single selling software product in the UK.

So it's no wonder i'm "bemoaning" the fact that I can't get an upgrade and continuing support without first resorting to purchasing the product again. Thats another £200!

I personally would be happy to pay a nominal fee for the cross-grade.

Maybe a much better way would have been to have version 6 totally rebranded/recoded and released it as a new product and offered it to ALL at a full fee. Therefore we would all have a level playing field. Either stick with version 5 or opt for the new version 6 at cost.

I don't want to have "my fingers burnt" and "lesson learnt". I just get the feeling this is not going anywhere and maybe it's time to rethink alternative products. It seems these days that there is no honour in business these days. Sad but true.

^^^ Well unless you are working for PCDJ - your comments are nothing but opinion and speculation ... all the PCDJ users have seen the comments on the PCDJ site and that is where you need to get your answers.

Guys, suppose Fiat think Opel did a killer chassis and they decide they want to use it with some modifications for a new Fiat model. A deal is made and then Opel does some new stuff and fixes some issues with their chassis. As a buyer of the Fiat do you now start to call Opel for them to upgrade your Fiat chassis?

get it now?? damn..

today i learned junkies get the best stuff ....this is great
