Topic: DAC2 outerwheel outside jog wheel - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I'm loving the ability to finally map the DAC2 exactly the way I want it! VDJ 6.0 rocks!

BUT... I really enjoyed the way the outer jog wheel worked by default under previous versions and I can't figure out the VDJScript to recreate that functionality (basically seek forward or backwards through a track at increasing speed the further you twist the wheel).

Any ideas? TIA!

I read over the Wiki but It does not go into much specifics.

Has anyone been able to add any functionality to the outer_jog wheel?
 
Yup, same problem here bro! Got everything working except that outer jog!

I would gladly PAY pern to make a XML version of his DMC-1/DAC-2 mapper.

Until then, using V6 just is not going to happen. I don't have time to learn a new controller and/or configuration at the moment.

What about a DLL > XML translator? :)

Concerning the outer wheel, here is what I would like...

Turn to the left - cycle thru Effects and a turn to the right would cycle thru Samples.

But the inner wheel would like as on the pern mapper.
 
If you guys are interested I upload the mapper I have so far. I have almost everything mapped and it's functions pretty decent...

Except for the outer wheel.

Shame to not use 6.0 because of lack of new mappers.

Is anyone interested?

FYI:

I am working on my DMC-1/DAC-2 mappers.

But i just got to much work at the moment. I'm running my own business in Software Development and got some projects that must be finished yesterday. So i'm working 24/7 with these. This is the reason for the delay, sorry about it.

Seems to have potential w/ me. But will wait to see if DMC-1 is feasible. Otherwise, I will need to learn/practice on the DAC-2 and then install to my gig rig.

Might switch to V6 during a slow time (after back up system).
 
I also got my DAC2 to do what I want it to do BUT same thing. The outer jog wheel. Please let me now the command placed in the mapper for the jog wheel
 
Yeah still not working for me. For anone interested though, I do have my mapper up now if anyone needs it. Still not outer jog though.
 
Wow, still nothing on this! I go the DAC2 to do stuff I always wanted. and to display on the LCD when in loop, effects and so on. BUT the outer wheel has no life!!

The inner wheel does the search/pitch blend. Not good when in vinyl mode. I perferr to use the TCV for that.

Please someone post the command for outer wheel.

The DMC-1 is working just dandy - but do miss the outer wheel.
