The Numark DMC-2 is just a standard HID device (Like a mouse) and doesn't need any special drivers, so should in theory work with Windows 8.
If it doesn't, then there may be a hardware fault and/or compatibility issue with it. Please contact Numark for advice.

i have just bought the numark mixtrack pro and wanted ot install it with my vdj after going thru all cofig i press apply and it give me a message not enoght channels and it seems not connecting to the comp what shall i do please help me

There is not a known mapping available yet. And we have not yet been provided any hardware or info to build a native/official mapper.

The idea with products like the Orbit is to map it for your own needs anyway.
There are so many possible ways to map the controls that no one mapping will suit everyone.
Also if you map it yourself, you will learn a useful skill for the future!

I have ndx800 and 900 with audio 4 dj sound card...
when I play a song in deck A or B both controllers are in control, meaning if I hit pause on either controller it pauses... if I hit play on either controller it plays, they don't control each side both are in control of A or B...

I have Virtual Dj Pro 7 Full and I have Serato Dj Intro...Both Software are not functioning well with my Mixtrack Pro or vice versa. The fader controls the pitch when i move the fader all the way to the left/right, button dont match to whats on the screen, etc....Can you please give me a default mapping for both softwares!

First of all, VirtualDJ v7.0.5 is an old and out of date version of the software. There have been many changes and improvements to the software since then (See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ_History.html ) - We are now on v7.4

Hello.
We have owned the Numark NS7 since about a week into its release but just recently have been having issues with it connecting via usb. The port on the back of the unit has loosened over the years and I don't know if it has lost connection with whatever it is supposed to be touching inside or what could be the issue. Sometimes we have a connection, sometimes we do not. Most recently we have not and/or I've been afraid to use it at jobs in case I lose the connection halfway through the night.
Has anyone had any experience with this? It is obviously out of warranty being that it was purchased around 2009 (my guess). So I don't know if usb ports just go bad and maybe I could solder a new one on the board (actually have someone who knows what they are doing, do it) or if there are other solutions other than buying a new one.

This is most likely due to wear and tear unplugging and plugging in the USB cable over time.
The only solution is to take it to a repair shop or suitable qualified electrician so that the USB socket can be repaired or replaced if necessary.

I have the mixtrack pro 2 with vdj pro when i use the effects on 1 deck i.e the brake or rewind effect it affects both decks so if im in a mix and use the rewind effect it ruins the mix by rewinding both decks instead of the 1 deck can any1 help and lemme no what i have to do to correct this problem ?
