Does anyone use the Numark Ndx900's? Setup and tweeking solutions? Not many vids or info on the setup.

Having a problem with my numark n4, the jog wheels keep going into a pitch bend. It will scratch then go into pitch bend then scratch then go into pitch bend. I remind you I'm only touching the black part, I sent it to get fixed by Numark but the people who looked at it decided that their was nothing wrong with it(thus I decided they where being lazy). Don't know if anyone could help.

Does anybody knows how to mapp the platter lights on the numark ns6. the white light be On all the time with the small red light go around instead, just like if u hold the slip button.

Controlers F**cks a Lot.... I woked up yesterday trying to test up ma systems cuz i would have a show tomorw... I finiisehd everything and plug in ma Numark Mixtrack Pro. And didint seem to function nor work anyways. All The Light on it Lights UP Stand-still and seize's up the Whole Sound of the computer but doesnt seem to work nor control da software"I think its Frezzed, The Sound In VDj passes through it soundcard but you cant prelisten Cue 1 or 2. Alll come into teh sound card,leaving the lights ON "Alll LIghts excluding Cue Bottoms 1 and 2 ... has anyone has similer issue or has any help.. Please Help me Numark. I get a Big Show on da 14th of This Month....

I have a couple questions I'm hoping someone can help me with! I just got the mixdeck quad. I set it up following these directions:

Everything works great EXCEPT it uses the computer audio. For example, if I'm playing on VDJ and I open a youtube video. The youtube video audio will come through the mixdeck and I hear it played on my speakers. Any audio on the pc plays on the mixdeck. Perhaps I should have known this is how it works but I'm coming from a Maya44 with timecodes and whatever audio was happening on my computer didn't play through the mixer. Is there a setting I can change or are all midi controllers like this and I'm stuck?

My only other complaint is that I can't find a way to pan manually from left to right speakers on this setup. I don't use it often but is there a way to do this?

Go into Windows (Or Mac depending on which type of computer you are using) control panel -> sound settings and check which sound card is set as the default playback device and change it back to your computer's built-in sound card. If you plug in a sound card that supports normal USB audio, then Windows will usually use it by default unless you tell it otherwise.

Panning is only possible if the controller has a knob for this (In the full VirtualDJ Pro, it's possible to re-assign a knob to this function if required, but this is not possible in VirtualDJ LE that is free limited software and doesn't support custom mapping (Except during the 20 day trial of the full Pro.)) You can upgrade from VirtualDJ LE to the full Pro at a discount by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and entering your VirtualDJ LE serial number in the box provided.

Hello everyone,

today I got my new Numark Mixtrack Pro 2. It includes Serato DJ Intro, what surely isnt a bad programm. BUT I am used to mix with Virtual DJ and the description of the Mixtrack Pro 2 says that it has no problems with other programs than Serato because of MIDI or something like this. (Sorry i dont have that much idea)

But how the hell can i make my Virtual DJ work with my new Mixtrack ? :X
I tried so much.... it just doesnt identify it when i go to Mappers and MIDI.
If I go to Config - Mappers - and uncheck "Show only connected Devices" it doesnt even show my Mixtrack Pro 2 ?...

Is it because it is very new (2-3 weeks or something) ?
I have Virtual DJ 7 Pro.

I purchased the Numark Mixtrack Pro, will it work with Virtual DJ home FREE 7.3? I know some come with VDJ is it the same thing or is the paid version?

The MixTrack Pro II is not currently natively supported in VirtualDJ Pro 7.3. If you wish to use it, you will either need to manually map it yourself or wait until native support is added in a future version.

No, Home FREE does not support using MIDI controllers. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

If you wish to use the Mixtrack Pro with VirtualDJ, then you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Some controllers may come with VirtualDJ LE included depending on the manufacturer. This is a free limited version of the software which will only work with that particular controller and can usually be upgraded to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount.

Hi All

I want to map FX_Control_2 rotary knob ( far right one ) to control the GAIN of each deck on my Mixtrack Pro whenever the SHIFT button is pressed. It should still be able to control FX when the shift button is NOT pressed.

I don't know which button to use as the "shift" button and how to set up the script to allow for this.

I know I need to assign a SHIFT button and set it to a variable called "X" for instance and only "when_pressed" ? But which one ?

I know I then need to check if that shift button is pressed by checking if the variable exists ( var_equals ) and based on that do the actions by increasing or decreasing the gain by small increments.

When Shift is not pressed - the FX control 2 knob needs to perform its normal duties...

Can anyone help ?

The SHIFT button, by default, is the delete button.

I remapped my EQ High to set the gain when SHIFT is active
<map value="EQ_HIGH" action="var "shift" ? gain : eq_high" />

This was from my map file, I can get the entry from the map window when my mixtrack is connected.
FX_PARAM_2 I believe is the one you want.

EDIT:
var "shift" ? gain : eq_high


In notepad, the quotes show up with the &quote... apparently that is modified when you paste it, lol

Hope some one can help me. Just replaced the N4 with the NS7. Set up the playback configuration so the headphone fader works. When I shut down the program and reopen my settings for the headphones don't work. How do I fix this so when I engage VDJ my setting are just how I left them. Is it still thinking its using the N4?

You will need to purchase a multi-channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO to be able to output both decks serately. The USB sound card built into the mixer is not suitable for this purpose because it has a single stereo input and output and can only be used on one channel of the mixer.

I just upgraded from the numark mix track pro to the mixdeck quad. When plugged into the software I receive an error message that says ....error in the sound driver (directs/wdm) your sound card is probably not connected or the settings are incorrect.... What do I do to fix this error? I am unable to control the volume controls on the software.
