Please avoid BCD if you can, it is very buggy unit. Why do you need sound card, you must have the one from VV package?

It was discontinued due to hardware faults and replaced by the 3000 which some users report the same problems remain.
Virtual Vinyl is intended for use with a mixer such as the NU04 or similar.
You could if you do not wish to invest in a midi mixer get a compact crossfader controller so you can fade the video at the same time.

Also give a try on Numark Total Control. It's a very sweet little equipment with a reasonable price.
Or if you have CDJ's or any other DJ cd players, using time code is your best option too since you already have VV box.

I'm not really sure as to what type of problems some of you might be having with the BCD2000. Ive been using it with Virtual Dj and have not found a single glitch. I'm running Win Xp on my computer and the only problem I'm having right now, and for which I'm waiting a quick fix, is with the new version of virtual dj that has some of the commands backwards or something, but this is not a BCD problem.
If you can get your hands on a BCD2000, go for it, I'm sure, that if installed properly, you will not have any glitches.

Im the same been using my BCD2000 from day 1 with VDJ and have not had any issues either in clubs or on VDJ Radio. I am still on 5.2.1 tho due to the glitches in version 6.0.1 that effects the jogwheels and some buttons, but i believe Moramax is working on a new Def & Xml file for the BCD2000 which will be out soon.
