Topic: Edirol UA-25 Error in ASIO sound driver

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi!

I'm using VDJ latest version, with an EDIROL UA-25 sound card on USB. I've correctly installed it, it works fine with all pgms in ASIO mode. I deactivated the internal sound card of my PC ( a realtek thingie ). But VDJ gives me the error code "Error in ASIO sound driver". I've installed ASIO4ALL as driver and with that it works fine. With the EDIROL not in ASIO mode VDJ works fine ( but too slow of course ).

Try updating DirectX 9 August edition and different USB port.

You don't need asio4all.
Edirol UA-25 it's a great ASIO soundcard, with zero latency, but it's designed for audio edition and production.
It only have one stereo input, and one stereo output, so can't use headphones.
You need another soundcard for headphones.

I say that it's a great soundcard.
I got one.

Hi,

i am new to virtual dj and have just crossed over from vinyl djing to vdjing!

i have an edirol ua-25 which i am using as deck one and my laptops (realtek speakers) soundcard as deck two; going into an external mixer. everything seems to work fine, but i am getting some sort of digital feedback from both cards. it gets worse as i do anything like move my mouse.

i think the config is set correctly;

INPUTS; None
OUTPUTS; External Mixer; Left deck: first card / right deck: second card
SOUNDCARDS; 2 CARDS; Out (2-edirol ua-25) - Phono to phono to mixer
& Speakers (realtek high definition audio) - 3.5mm jack (headphone out) to phono (mixer)

can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? the feedback seems worse from the built in soundcard (realtek) but neither sound nice!

i have comitted to play my first gig using this set up on friday, so any help will be much appreciated!!

many thanks,

alex
