As long as they move the .xml database to the new drive, your files should be fine.

If they don't then you will have to re-scan your files, and all your cue points will be lost.

damn....300gb..thats alot 50 more than mines..but theres no music in there(laptop) just the Virtual DJ program..and a couple of skins and a picture...most of my songs are in my Usb stick...and the rest of my songs and all that orther good stuff is on my desktop..

is it better to keep my music on my laptop which i only use for vdj or an external hard drive.and thanks for the answers guys

I don't no which is better, it's what you perfer I guess, but I keep all my music on a external harddrive.

If they mirror your old drive then everything should work as it did before. I would suggest getting a external hard drive that you could back your music up to.

The advantages of using external hard drives is if your computer crashes you still have all your music. If you have more than one PC you can just connect the external drive up to another PC. The main thing to remember is BACK UP your files even external hard drives can crash. Remeber if you backup your files be sure and backup the .xml database file as well.

how would you back up the Xml. ???
