I've downloaded both the karaoke manager and the latest clipbank. The karaoke manager won't open ie ask to be activated and I don't know how to load the clips from the clipbank. Where do I find that info in the manual?

try this small tutorial i made, same principle for most plug ins

remember to have your vids stored where they are accessable for clipbank as they need to be in the same location each time you open up VDJ

I've only been on the forums a short time but somehow I knew that YOU would be the one to answer.

I saved the clipbank in the Video Effects folder of VDJ but it doesn't open to the individual files. When I click on it, it only says "Installation Complete"

I'm using 5.4 with Vista running on XP compatability.

Any ideas?

Oh the Karaoke Manager won't activate and I can't find the download.

which version are you running ? as these are already installed with 5.2.1

you need to activate karaoke by clicking on the bullseye furthest to the right of the search bar after you've opened vdj and tick show karaoke...

make a folder of the clips you want to use in clipbank first, after opening vdj go to effects > video effects > select clipbank then activate > left click on a square ans select load > find the folder you have vids in and double click on one or choose select it should now have loaded in that square > continue until full if you want.

download sbdj's random clipbank and install, its a great plug in, but remember to activate this first before the main clipbank plug in.

any problems i will check back here tomorrow as i'm off to a gig, hope that works for you...


 
I've downloaded both Clipbank and Clipbank Random but neither are opening. when I click on each download it just says "Download Complete" What am I missing? The Sonique upens and I've loaded the individual effects but I'm not finding that part of the Clipbanks.

hi max, your download should turn up as a little red box, all you need to do is double click on it and it will automatically install then load your desired clips into clipbank from your folder i suggested that you make earlier, remember to set them on loop after loading, random clipbank will only work if it is activated first before activating clipbank.

i take it you have the latest directx been able to use the sonique plug in.
 
OK... I'm missing something basic here. I expect that the Clipbank downloads CONTAIN clips that I can use. When I click on the red box, it should open a folder that contains those clips. Are`you saying that I have to create a new folder and insert my own clips and that the downloads only provide a platform for me to display those clips?
 
Addendum: I downloaded the Clipbanks to VirtualDJ>Plug-ins>Video Effects
 
The clipbank is a plugin to display video clips.

it is not supplied with video clips.

You open the plugin, then open the files in that plugin :)
 
AHA! I've been laboring under a false assumption!!!! Thank you!

Now the follow up question: Is there a good source for short clips for this use?
