Hey guys, I have been coming on the forums everyday to see whats happening with VDJ but most of the posts are about problems people are having. Is it possible to get some info on future plans for virtual dj - it seems like a long time since we heard anything! I'm sure you guys are working hard on making this software even better. It just seems a bit quiet on here!

bump - - - any new developments? There isn't even a "News" page on the website. I think this is a problem. How are we to know whats going on with the software?
I am trialling Serato over summer and if I like it, will purchase it.
I have been using VDJ for a very long time, stand by and defend it when people question it but I am considering a change - which seems to be the topic of conversation in the USA and NZ at the moment!

If it is quiet, it doesn't mean there no movement about the development of the software. It be announced if there are new version. Morever the version now is quite stable n only a minor bugs. Most of the problem are due to the system setting n hardware etc.
Regards;)

I am aware of this but wouldn't it be more productive to give consumers the privilege of knowing even the tiniest amount about what's going on? Rather than us having to assume something amazing is about to happen?

How are we to know there is even a new version coming out? And how could they make it better - without compromising performance?
It seems you have to be in the elite few to be in the know, while us little people who stand by the product are left in the lurch.

DJMarze,
I'm afraid mate only the VIP members and higher get the lowdown and hints on what is happening to the software in the next revision and update, also they get to test the betas first.
So if you are under that level :( you are in the dark, double :(

Nooone is in the dark ;)
The vips tests the release candidates for bugs, to make sure the released version is as far as possible bug free.
Regarding the path of where development goes, its really up to dev team, market and idea flows...
So far after 5.x the releases have been fixes and addings of controllers...
But at the same time as Dev team takes care of the changing marked (controller etc) and feedbacks (bugs, wishes), there is also a parallell development for new features that users ask for, or that can represent something that can spike interest..
The nature of such last mentioned things are of course (in a competing world) not reveiled before release, but its not like there is an Illuminati of teamers or Masons of VIPs that knows whats REALLY going on, and some agenda to keep you all in the dark ;) hehe
VDJ is made FOR the user, and BY the users feedback and wishes most of all :)

I just have one thing to add...
TIMECODE IMPROVEMENT.
Everything else Rocks. Please...make timecode as close to perfect as possible. Make it at least as good and stable as SSL.
VDJ right now has enough bells and whistles to run a parade.
Honestly, all I really want is for TIMECODE to be flawless. If it takes tying it to a specific controller or soundcard, SO BE IT. (maybe)

That's funny. Because for the first time I'm not waiting for any update because I'm totally satisfied with the latest version of the program. I'm not using TimeCodes so I don't know if it needs any improvement. Last time I was trying it with Serato time codes and it was OK.
Video freezes I had before are totally gone with latest update on all computers. Sound is perfect since I found a good compatible sound card. I think new updates will bring support to new controllers and some new features. Its not gonna be about fixing existing problems (which I don't see) so much.

Make an update where you dont have to do some many configurations, keep it simple... Just connect and play..

Perhaps it's quiet on the forums because more people are having fewer problems with the current releases.
