First - please don't make multiple posts on the same topic.
And to answer your question - you add tracks to the playlist panel, then from the Playlist menu you can choose to Save the playlist. It is that simple.

Why even use a play list, can't we do our job lke the old days?
Play music depending on the crowds mood.
I hate being a jukebox DJ.

ha I think that is funny. A play list is nothing but a record crate. You choose what songs you want to play and put those in your list/crate. A juke box dj plays request all night. Back in the day when hiphop dj's invented the art the choose what songs they wanted to play and the crowd enjoyed. Having a playlist is just a way of being prepared. I play at clubs but I play no request. The crowd still has a great time cause as a dj I am 'Moving the crowd' I make a playlist for every night I perform and that what I do is perform not just play music.

You Make Folders inside your hard drive. Add songs to each folder. You either make genre folders or session folders. Having just hip hop (example) like 500 songs or more in 1 folder is ok but not smart... DJ ying is being able to play your music and knowing where to find it quick. You dont let itunes organize it for you..... You organize it yourself. You can kill the crowd at a party when you take too long to bring in the next song because you are still looking for a song to play next
I Do more than just play music. I play to hype up the crowd and bring it to the highest level.

Just to clarify I make the playlist in itunes. I do that instead of putting songs in folders. I do not let itunes create the playlist for me.

I find it easier (in VDJ) to use Virtual folders. Just keep adding tunes as you go.
I have Genre lists and also lists I create to prepare a set.

I am really not sure what you are asking. You want to save a playlist but don't want to press the save button? Here is my answer to what I THINK you are asking. You have playlist 'cookie crew' and you decide to add three more songs to it. Press the little plus sign for the options and at the bottom it says 'save' well save your NEW playlist and call it 'cookie crew' say 'yes' to over write and be done with it. If that ios not what you are saying then I don't quite follow your question

just a joke but did i address your issue? I still prefer the itunes way of making playlist mainly cause i can just have itunes on shuffle all day and listen to songs and then one will pop up like ' hey that will go well with these songs' and toss it in the play list

I think what you are really wanting is how to use Virtual Folders as recommended earlier.
In VirtualDJ Terminology -
Playlists are a list of tracks that you would use with the AutoMix feature that have a predefined order of play.
Virtual Folders are a list of tracks uniquely grouped by the user that have no intended order of play, but more for further grouping or categorizing outside the provided track tags like genre, album, etc. Manually created by drag-n-drop to a named folder.
And just for clarity -
Filter Folders are a list of tracks also uniquely grouped, however; done by using conditional evaluations on the various file fields (tags) to create groupings that are dynamically changing. Filter conditions created once, tracks dynamically display if they fit the filter conditions.

"Why even use a play list, can't we do our job lke the old days?"
It's called progress ... just like we don't communicate the way we used to .. or build houses .. or grow food .. or anything else.
