Topic: ''Error'' when loading a song

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is the second problem I face with VDJ since I installed it on my new &*$@#%@$ Vista PC.

It took me hours to dow... err find some songs. They all work fine in media players but when I try to load the on a deck, the most of them won't work,''error'' appears at where the song's name should be.
I use Hercules DJ Console MK2 and the VDJ Version that came with it.

Please help me, I really love those tunes...

Do they contain DRM.

Where did you get these tracks from?
 
Certainly not iTunes...
Well I have to admit it... Limewire, shame on me for ignoring copyrights!
 
In your VDJ browser go to my "computer" then select the C: drive and click on program file. Find your limewire file and if the song appears in the file, try dragging it into the deck. Remember you must launch the song in limewire so that it can load into your hard-drive. I hope this works, it did for me.
 
There aren't any songs in Limewire's folder. By default they go to ''downloads'' under ''Nick'' (my name, like my documents in Vista).
Therefore I've moved them in a folder on my desktop...
 
I get that alot also from different songs i downoad which proabably means the song isnt complete or is missing something or even corrupt :)
