I know Atomic won't enable freedb for inserted CDs but what about CD txt?
Could a new codec be written or is this a feature in the works?
Thanks!

It reads the metadata on MP3 discs perfectly well, if it has been typed in correctly to start with.
My niece has some MP3 DVDs of various music - I managed to get one of them to read the metadata - but, for some reason, normal CDs are listed as "Track 01", "Track 02", etc. You need to rip a normal disc in using something like Windows Media Player.
Haven't written anything on this forum for a good while!

That much I know. But some of the new CDs (TMC/RPM/Etc) and ones that I make have CD text on them.
The ones I make (Yes, I know I could use the tracks) but sometimes for the ceremony, using a CD is easier.
Just a thought.....
If the fancy Denon CD units can read it, then should be no sweat for VDJ.
