need help on how to set this all up i have a maya 44 usb soundcard a new mixer and my hp computer running vista the processor is an amd 64.....the cd i have for the maya 44 wont instal they said i need to update the drivers i have no i dea how to do that though...also everytime ive been openign up virtual dj its been saying error in the sound driver of direct x

Error in Driver X message in VDJ simply (usally) means that your current soundcard configuration inside Virtual DJ is not logic. Meaning that the setting you have choosen is not possible, due to soundcard mode change or number of output ports etc.
Change the soundcard settings to a logic one, and restart VDJ, and the error message should be gone
As for drivers for Maya 44 for Vista 64, go to the producers homepage and download the latest drivers.
Vista 64 does have issues with lots of hardware though, and many hardware dont have drivers for that version of Vista. So you might not have luck with native drivers.
A choice then is to use generic drivers, such as http://www.asio4all.com . It only supports 32 bit apps, but VDJ is one. So hopefully it will work
