I had the 3500, but I sold them after 2 years of use. What can I say about comparing them to the cdjs800? Yes, they have more features, i liked the hot cues features with a-press-of-a-button, and the spining platter. But I have to send one of them to rapair 3 times, and the last one just started to fail with the speed-up platter issue.
For my experience, I can say that Pio has more reability and its a more trusty unit.

the CDJ 800s are the best choice. The features on the denon 3500 only work if you are using cds only. The 800s are more reliable and scratches alot better than the 3500s. I have the cdj 1000mk3s and its the best ive ever used. I used the cdj 800s at a club and it works really nice with time codes. You wont see denon 3500s in a night club, only the pioneer 800s or the 1000s

Pioneer 800
they are made to last...
... and last ...
and last..
defo my choice
(also consider cdj 400, if you're not a die hard scratch dj, controls VDJ directly )

I've had my CDJ-1000's since they came out. I've had my grubby hands on all the digital turntables, and although others have more bells and whistles, Pioneer wins out with stability and construction.
