Topic: VDJ won't play songs with RMX as sound card...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Man, I seem to run into all of the problems. Just got a brand new Macbook Pro with Leopard. Installed VDJ on it and Hercules RMX drivers, no problem. Imported songs into iTunes, they play through the RMX as a sound card, no problem. Now when trying to play tracks in VDJ, they simply won't start when pressing Play. The controller works - for example, I can use it to scroll up and down through my songlist or change the sliders, but the songs just won't play. The button even lights up both on the controller and in the VDJ interface, it just doesn't play the song. The song waveform doesn't move.

I remember this exact same thing happened in Windows when I wasn't in ASIO mode, or when I had iTunes open. After I closed iTunes in windows or switched to ASIO, VDJ would work again. The problem now is that iTunes isn't open (and VDJ still isn't playing tracks) and there's no option in the RMX Control Panel to switch any options.

Hopefuly third time's the charm!

Solved... I tried the 20-day trial for the full version and changed the sound options from "headphones". Weird, but whatever.

EDIT: Actually, it's only partially solved. It turns out that every time VDJ starts I have to turn the sound options output from "headphones" to "single" and then back to "headphones" for it to start. Otherwise it repeats the problem from my first post.
