Okay, im running a hercules mk2 and am using its asio sound card.
However when it comes to recording i have two options, WDM and ASIO.
When i try to record with WDM, it works perfectly, the recording is well cleaer and spot on.
However i cannot record using ASIO. WHY?
everytime i click record whilst using the ASIO option, it doesent seem to work... it says.. "sound card unavailable".
why is it saying this? obviously my soundcard is working coz my timecoded vinyls are working how they should be, (apart from the scratching is a little off).
i am using the LAME plugin for recording witrh WDM and its works, so why wont it work for ASIO?

You need to look at the Hercules support site. They actually explain this and I think it is in the manual that came with the Hercules.

Try to un-install and re-install the mk2 drivers. I remember this used to happen to me quite often when I had my mk2.
