Topic: Numark DMC2 Huge Price Drop?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I was woundering if anyone else notice the huge price drop of the numark DMC2?

I`ve checked at both places, Pssl and planetDJ and both please you can get the numark DMC2 for 199$.

I paid over 399$ for mine!

Anyone saw that?

It was $179.00 at the convention in AC. I should have gotten one as a spare, but figured I could wait.

just saw it for $99.99

99$? Where? You think they would ship it to Canada?

Used for 99 bucks

When I was in AC, I asked the Numark guy why the price dropped so much. He didn't really have an answer. I asked if it was going out of stock or if a newer controller was about to be released. He said no to both. You never know, though. I've asked about things before at the convention that turned out to be BS. Either way, that's a sweet price for that controller.

Not so sweet when you're looking to sell one, though :(

I use my RMX, and have been eyeing the Denon 4500. I haven't used the DMC2 in months.

Hey DJ Marcel_1,

I've bought mine from PlanetDJ a couple of months ago.. so yeah they do sell to canada.

Warm Regards,
Pat

yeah that is a very nice unit. i like the latest versions of this dj gear

Thanks Reaper, yes this has been discontinued for quite a while now, several months in fact.

I bought mine for $179.99 at Sam Ash back in January of this year.

I too got mine at Sam Ash a few months ago and Paul Ash himself (the owner) responded to my e-mail about if they had any and offered it to me for 169.99, lol. it sucks cause I really like my DMC2.

The price drop/discontinuation doesn't affect it's ability as a player. It will just be more rare and we will have a player that others wish they had. Yes, I'm a Pioneer user but I'm not so arrogant (as many are) I can't admit that this little $199 Numark player isn't a great piece of gear, cause it is.

Enjoy it 'til it's broken!

Keep Spinnin'!!

my main worry is, "will they drop support for it?" I mean, what if something happens to mine say like 6-9 months down the road? am I still going to be able to ship it to them for repair? are they going to do it like the automotive industry where you can still find parts for that 31 ford to this day? or is it going to be, "oh well, tough luck, guess you get to get something else now". that is my main concern at this moment in time.

Michael

I doubt it. I'm sure they'll continue to support it for some time to come.
