Majority of DJ's can't dance...
True or False?
Question being raised due to the fact that all of my audiences wants me to shake with them and i just can't.

I can't dance a lick.....

I can flat out bust a move. But I'm not much of a DJ :D

If ya DJ'ing you got rhythm right? Plus if you are mixing without that sync button I can promise you, you have a better sense of rhythm than most. So if need be, just practice like a total Richard in your own home.

Is it your Confidence?

Some types of Djs are expected to show a certain amount of showmanship as well as having the ability to press play with style. Next time somebody tries to drag you up, don't decline. Take control of the situation, pick up the mic and announce that you are abought to grace them with your skills, and, that your buy a pint for anybody who can copy or better your grove. Then .... deliberately dance really really really badly. People will giggle past remembering the pint and your not deemed the miserable DJ.

Oh, and yes I can dance.

Happy days!!

sad case of white man's disease here now....but..... when I was a young'un they had to lock up their daughters.....!!!!!

i Don't even try

Back in the day i was able to get down, but today i probably wouldnt be able to get back up :(

If you're a mobile DJ, you can get more money if you can dance. Or at least lead some and teach basics. I'll never be on Dancing With The Stars, but I can get through a salsa, two-step, or whatever to please the crowd. I'm almost 37 and jaws drop, and OHHHH's shout when I walk out to the floor to to the Crank Dat dance. SUPERMAN, OHHHH!!!

Practice makes perfect. Handy skill to have if your a mobile DJ and trying to get people to dance but dont look too good otherwise it will also stop people from wanting to get on the dancefloor.

Sometimes even the worst dancers are the best ones because you can see they are having a great time and make other people laugh.

I use to be a dancer before i was a dj but on the other hand most of my dj buddies can not or do not dance

if anyone is a little shy or there dancing skills are not quite up to par i have a little tip for you, while you enter on to the dance floor get a mate to fire a taser at you, your dancing skills may improve and you certainly get a laugh.

One of the advantages us "female" VJ's" have comes down to one thing.

Some white boys can mix, very few white boys can dance. :-)

You mutha puckers are funny. I don't know Terry I must be a psychic, because when I saw your picture, I knew you couldn't dance. At least you guys are honest. I am a very good dancer, and actually have them believing I can get under the limbo pole, when it's only 2 feet off the floor. I have been dancing all night behind my console, and leading the usually dances. They are on their feet, yelling my name. Some think I can do it, and others want to see me break my neck. That is actually the only time I will ever take my tux jacket off.
