Very Intresting mate, I'm from the UK

I already pay a fee of £235 a year for the PPL License.

Now they say I have to pay another £250 (probably be £285 with VAT) a year, for another license. Fcuking ripoff it is!!!!!! I think we're getting shafted here in the UK.

PS Sorry about the Language.

Its been in canada for a while now, its called SOCAN ( www.socan.ca ) where you cannot play a cd in a store, even if you write & perform your own music you must have a socan license. The only exeptions are if you use the music for worship, or in a charitable event where you perform your own material...
Of sourse these license is already included with your subscription to CDJA (canadian dj association)
So you must be licensed if you are a bar, restaurant, banquet hall, concert venue, club, etc.

Copyright laws really are getting ridiculous but no one is standing up to the MAFIAA...
