I've had a weekend off this week, so I haven't used VirtualDJ since Friday afternoon, when I scanned a few new tracks and moved them to my External harddrive,
Anyway I've opened VirtualDJ this morning for a bit of a mix and I've noticed that 2 of my folders and the files in them (about 500 files) have become "Unscanned" I've just had to reloaded the tags again and rescan them again.
Now this is quite worrying as Tayla lost all his file info last week.
Whats going on.

I've the same problem. I've scanned all my tracks on the local 320 GB drive. Sometimes, when I open VDJ some of the tracks lost all information, like playcount and bpm-info. I have the problem since version 5.07 and it's still happened in version 5.2 yesterday. Any ideas?

i'm sure i read somewhere other guys have lost info as well, so now it's just not an isolated incident, i thought i may have been the problem when i did those updates now i can stop crucifying myself, ahhh feel much better now, there is a bright side to writing the thousands of files back in, my typing speed has improved a little, lol

It's not really a big deal for me as I don't spend alot of time and effort putting info into my tags, like Genre, or year and so on, but I know some users do.
But the thing is, it's bloody inoring and it shouldn't be doing this!!!!!!!!

I'm having this problem also. Every time when I check my BPM=0 Filter I constantly get unscanned files come up

OK, so what are the similarities between each of you ? Are these machines that are dedicated machines to VDJ? What O/S are you using? How often are you moving files around ? How often do you use the Fix or Clean features in the Browser tab of VDJ ? Are all of the files that have missing info always on external drives ? How are those drives connected - USB direct or through a hub? Are they drives powered by the USB port or they have their own power supply?

You fellas made me nervous, so I just checked...I had one unscanned track, and it turns out that it was one I just added. I hope you find a solution, though.
Differences in my setup:
1. Non-dedicated, but tweaked
2. WinXP Pro (SP3)
3. Tend to move lots of files regularly (at times, but not recently)
4. Use fix and clean regularly
5. External drive
6. Firewire, separate power
Additionally, ALL files were recently rescanned in v5.1.
I hope this helps.

Ok, how many were using version 4.x of the software, upgraded to version 5, and still have the OLD version 4 databases in your My Documents -> VirtualDJ folder ?

Today, third time in two weeks, I opened up VDJ to see "F" Drive is corrupt, cannot access. I must reboot my machine and when I do it runs a scan on the "F" drive and all of my BPM/Key info and any changes I have made are lost. I am using 5.1 and XP on this machine.

I have made a fresh installation of 5.07 and then updated to 5.1 and 5.2. I've the problem in all that versions.
