what is "smart_scratch" ?

smart_scratch : Enable/disable smart scratch (auto mute backward scratch)

Thanks to DJcel for info ;)

How can I enable this new option??

It would be my guess that you would just want to setup a keyboard shortcut for it. That'll be what I'm going to try ;)

Is smart scratch just on PC? I didn't see that option on Mac.

Hmmmmm...Dunno.

BTW, I set a keyboard shortcut for smart_scratch and it works as described. When you click the "add" button under keyboard shortcuts, it's under the "turntable" category (I chose CTRL+S). Happy skratchin' ;)

What are the Denon-4500 improvements and do they apply if I use jpb mapper ?

I'm quite happy with 5.1 at the moment, but if it 'refreshes' the display when you switch between CD/VDJ i'll expediate the install !

The jpb HC-4500 mapper has been updated again, loads of changes. Brilliant!

Improvements/changes to the native HC4500 support will not affect the mapper. However due to changes to the SDK for the HC4500 in VirtualDJ v5.2, you will need the updated version from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/tools.html for it to work.

Earlier versions of the mapper will not work with VDJ v5.2 and the new v1.2 version of the mapper will not work with versions of VirtualDJ prior to v5.2

Thankyou. I will try 5.2 with new mapper tonite.

Is this update going to be available with Numark Cue?

You need to search the forums and look at the discussions on this issue... there is an entire thread that talks about your question.
