Windows XP, Home edition, SP2, (DSP) ---- Is this version okay with VDJ?

If you plan on using midi devices, not all of them will work with home edition. I used a m-audio controller just fine with home edition, but when I tried to use a VCI-100, it wouldn't work at all. Other than midi, I think you should be fine.
