Hi,
I have a problem with virtual dj 5.0.7
I use wave files alot so as they do not hold tages, i have to update my tags manually example genre etc...
The problem i have is when i try to copy some folders and files from my internal drive to my extenal drive, some folders and files keep the tags and some loose them completly example genre and bpm. I used the copy function in virtual dj and not through windows.
I know you guys will say "why don't you copy the xlm file to your new hard drive"
The answer is i cannot so that because some files or folder are from the c drive and some are from my d drive and i have to copy files and folders from both. Please help.

Try to keep all your music library on one drive even if its external.
About using wave files. It's good to keep the best sound quality possible but you can convert your wave files into flac. That way you will keep sound quality, save hard drive space and you can save ID tags in that files. It's easy to set up VDJ to play flac files - search the forum.

flac files are way too slow to load and to convert, also when you convert to flac some files can get curupted.

oh by the way i did a test and converted a way file to a flac song and put in the tags but virtual dj does not even see them so i don't know what you are talking about.

dont bash mon... if he says flac plays in vdj... then there is a possibility that it does.... what u should do is ask him how it is done.. or ask him if he has ever tried it or ask around.... in the forum
