Or even some good sample scratches would be nice (cheating I know) and easy for me? maybe a pile of them somewhere, anyone?

If you want a realistic scratch, then buy the Pro version and maybe a pair of TCV. How can you get a realistic scratch sound with your mouse? For me it's ok with settings locked to the maximum quality...
