Is there something like a damper we can buy to be place under the CD player. iCDX cannot just take too much vibration somehow.

three things i've done for an impromptu fix for this problem and depending on how bad vibration was with my decks, now you can all start laughing here but they all worked, firstly varying thickness of foam, secondly paving slabs and finally we had to go to the extreme in one place we suspended a cradle to float the decks on.

don't forget the first two remedies go under the decks... lol

One of the places I play at have there Decks on paving slabs, also the club I played at a few years ago also did the same.

It's a common practice in some clubs in the UK, same as wear a gimp mask, with a orange in your month................... but I won't go into that, LOL

Thanks for the tips guys...esp. FREE FLOAT...cool
I do have tried b4 tayla's recommendations (2) but it's not yet enough or maybe the sound is just too loud for the venue.
I don't know how to deal with it but people really like loud sound, they said they don't care if they're heart stops beating or they're ear drums may burst as long as the sound is clear and crisp...bring it on!!!

At the venue, they have 64 units. of AB-36B - Cerwin Vega Subs, 48 units. of SR738 - JBL plus other bits and pieces for mid and hi freqs, all are being powered by Peavey amps. Maybe refrain from using CD's anymore...what do you think?

invest in a lappy is your best bet then, plus no more lugging that weight about, going into the gig with two paving slabs under your arms does not look cool

looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, Damn, where's my chair gone

In Belgium, everybody uses Freefloats, except the biggest clubs. Clubs usually have a space anchored directly into the ground (independently from the building itself), where the turntables are, so not the slightest vibration there. :)

yep, worked in a few clubs that have had the foresight to do that
