Topic: What is a mixtable?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've looked in the forums, and I see this referenced, and in the comparison page it says "can play through a mixtable," however what is that referring to?

in some parts thats what they refer to as a mixer.
 
So if someone were to buy the home edition, and had a sound card they couldn't play though it to a mixer? Or do they just mean the mixer cannot control it?
