Topic: Which Is The Best Choice For Video Ripping?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'd like to know what you all think would be my best choice for ripping some of my video DVDs.

I'd really like to rip the titles from my video DVDs as .vob, but I don't see that option listed in my choices.

Please note, I am VERY new at this...so be gentle. ;-)

Here's the choices I have to choose from:

Also, there is another option on another window allowing me to select the Aspect Ratio.

Choices are:

"Keep Aspect Ratio"
"To 4:3 Devices"
"To 16:9 Devices"

Not sure what to do here. I'll be playing the videos from my laptop into my projector.

I use "SmartRipper" Just locate the DVDs location and let it rip! It breaks up the the entire DVD into it individual chapters and outputs as .VOB files. There is no need to fool around with any aspect ratio.
