Topic: video freeze when loading opposite deck

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I got my rmx yesterday, and when running video, the video freezes for a second when I load the next track on the opposite deck. Fixes?

What video card are you using?

nvidea 8800

Ok what OS???

64 bit vista.

64 bit isn't and great option. Make sure your directx is updated. and your drivers for your vid card.

Running Vista 32bit here and am experiencing the same problem with video freezing on load. Same video card as well. I will try some updates and get back to you on if this fixes the problem or introduces a slew of new ones.

I also still have the same problem with my 8800's on 32-bit Vista...

I am hoping people in the forum can give us some insight into this anomaly. I have been running Cue with vista 32 bit (DirectX 10) 2.2ghz dual AMD, Nvidia 8400 and have tried everything to stop "the freeze on load" its only when loading large video files....any fixes will be most appreciated.

Ok guys just got a idea from Numark on this issue, try unclicking hardware acceleration. I have never tried this so you may want to test that first. will try tonight.

If u do that then u have no effects or transitions.
I would be playing with the settings in Vista.

hmm then maybe keep hardware acceleration checked but going into the Nvidia control panel and back off the hardware acceleration?

Thats worth a shot, dont have nvidia so cant help there.

well it seems as if its maybe up to Numark or Atomix to fix this prob. Nvidia has no new drivers for HP laptops and HP says if you were to disable hardware acceleration it may cause operating prob with Vista :-( for now the option to even change that setting is grayed out. With all new PCs operating with vista and Nvidia a industry standard , I would hope a fix is in the works. Numark told me they are passing this along to the engineers.
