Hi everyone,

I need some basic help please. When I have one song playing and the crossfader set to the middle on vdj, when I try to set the next player to the right point I can hear the cd moving through the song that is playing. I know that I can move the crossfader to the other side to stop this but can it be stopped without doing this? The reason why I ask is because I try to use the laptop as lease as possible and without the crossfader set to half way I find it hard to mix with a external mixer

PLEASE can someone help a novice

many thanks

If you are using an external mixer, you should purchase a USB sound card with two stereo outputs (Such as Numark DJIO.)

You can then choose the External Mixer option in VDJ's sound setup. You will then be able to connect each output from the sound card into a separate channel on your mixer, allowing you to mix and cue each VDJ deck in exactly the same way as you would with CD players or vinyl record decks.

When using VDJ in this way, you should leave the software crossfader in the centre and the software channel faders at maximum.

Thanks you so much for your help, this has worked a treat. You are truely a god :-)
Do you have any other tips for a budding dj trying to use a dac 3?

many thanks once again

Disco Jay
