Topic: After tonight's gig, I'm walking.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Playing my last night at my local Saturday gig. Everything was going sweet, for a year or so, till my mate (and manager) decided to finish and his bosses brought in a new manager.

This new guy hasn't got a clue, pointed out the people to watch and those who seem to start trouble, but he won't take my advice, and started letting them in again. Figures have started to drop and last Saturday night we only had about 25 people in all night, due to some trouble at the start of the night.

So with all this I've decided to finish there as I'm not enjoying it anymore, and move on to pastures new. I've got a event sorted to replace it, the only problem it's every fortnightly, but it's more my thing.

best of luck pal...

Cheer's Paul.

I hope it all works out for you :)

Nice one, Doc, Cheer's.

Off now for my final night down there.

It's really difficult sometimes when new management moves into an established business.

It's a 50-50 crapshoot.

Either the new guy eases into the gig so seamlessly you don;t notice it, and maybe changes a few things and business goes up

or

He comes in like a hammer and things fall apoart for a few months then pick up again once staff has moved on, quit, whatever.

Either way it's a pain in the ass

Knowing when to say when is the key.

Best wishes to you on your new gig, Jimmy.

Sorry to hear that Jimmy, hope everything will be alright with the new gig.

Cheer's guys, Had a good last gig, it was certainly busy than last week.

It's the morning after and I still think I made the right decision to finish there.

Your worth more Jimmy, you made the right move, best of luck.
