Does anyone know how to configure VDJ to filter only the Zero channel on a MP3+G track? I have several MP3+G karaoke tracks that the lyrics come up on the screen in duplicates.

Here's a sample of the problem:

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4q8ltq0CcSk"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4q8ltq0CcSk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

It's plays ok on any other DJ/KJ software...but not on VDJ Ver. 5 (any)

Actually, you'll find the sample here:

Sorry about that.

Thanks, I would appreciate anyone who knows how to fix this problem.

Hi Ronnie

Which make of discs are you ripping from ?

SAV's. I have several of them that do this. I thought it might have been the way they were ripped, but I used to use Tricerasoft before I switched to VDJ. They (SAV MP3+G's) work fine in their software. According to Tricerasoft, Quote "There is nothing wrong with the song. This is called a multi channel track and your player is not configured to filter only the Zero channel - channels are part of the CD+G standard and MUST be supported. You can refer to our Free player, it supports the CD+G channels and only shows Channel Zero (which is the default for most manufacturers). The song is directly from the SAV disc sets, we did not make it a multi-channel track. Your player must simply support it correctly. You may want to contact them directly and inquire."

So, I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do this with VDJ. I put in a ticket about a week ago, and noone has answered.

Thanks

Thanks Ronnie, i hope you find an answer as i do own a fair number of the Savs and always had the double lyrics issue so won't use them on pc yet. There is a number of songs which other lables don't have on them, also there quality recordings unlike some. Goodluck i hope you find a solution to post. I will hunt the web and post like wise.

Chris

I just checked my sav's and they also show duel lyrics. Shows how oftern i've used them (never). Always had the tracks requested on another disc so to speak. If it's not available on another then they have to select from one of the 30.000 others.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I know there are other discs. I have around 13,000 songs. I've been doing Karaoke for 16 years. Only a few are SAV's, but there are a few songs that I don't have on the others. And to purchase those particular songs would mean purchasing discs with lots of duplicates....not a good use of money. Got save it for the pump to keep my van running.

Apparently, it's a program problem that probably can be fix pretty easily. If Tricerasoft can do it, I'm sure VDJ can.

Thanks, again

Calling all VDJ techies; Please! Please! Please fix this problem. I have a large collection of NuTech SAV CDG's and am currently having to use a alternative package. I'd love to buy the latest version of VDJ but that would be a waste of money as things stand.

Thank you in anticipation.

Sorted; I've found a handy little freeware utility called Stripcdg. It does exactly what it says, it strips away the unwanted channel leaving channel 0 intact. If anyone would like a copy feel free to contact me and I'll email it.

I'm having the same problem with MP3 + G SAV's. I can not stripcdg the program. If someone can help me I am very grateful.
