I'm trying to connect an external CD to my VDJ but can't get it to work.

I have a Hercules DJC, VDJ v 2.06 and a Turtle Beach extra sound card.

When i use the Rip Vinyl program the sound from the CD is perfect, but when i use
the driver for it in VDJ i can't hear anything.

Any ideas ??

To use the sound from the line-in of your soundcard, you need to do the following :

(1) in the music brownser part of Virtual DJ, in the left column, locate your soundcard (find the icon under desktop)
(2) drag the soundcard icon to one deck of Virtual DJ

This will play the music from the line in - through Virtual DJ

Of course, the music will not be analyzed for BPM/CBG - as its played real time...

you must also go to hercules settings, and choose line-in (not mic) as the "recording" device for the soundcard (right click the green alien in system tray)
