What levels do you have your volume settings at?

The settings I use are stated below. These work fine for me. I was just wondering how everyone else sets theirs and if maybe I was working my amp too hard or something.

I have the amplifier volume up to maximum (ecler apa1400watt), the external mixer volume very low (on 1 or 2), the master level on VDJ on 1 or the first notch and the individual deck levels on VDJ at maximum. Throughout the night I only use the external mixer levels to increase sound.

Opinions welcome. Thanks

The amplifier must always be set at the max.
You adjust master volume with your table. Try not to work over 0db (less if you don't want too much sound).

Set your deck cursors at the max.

Set the "always 0db" option on.

Never set any amplifier at max always one notch below(most of the spitting and distortion comes from setting the amp to max)

Maybe I am wrong but I think almost sono amplifiers overwarm when not at max contrary to hifi amplifiers which overwarm when the volume is too important.

Well not to say you are wrong but we do it differently here the last notch on an amp enables full out from audio including harmonic distortion.
This is the same for all amps home or pro
