Topic: Many mobile/wedding/party (non club) DJs here? - Page: 1

I notice a lot of talk here about clubs and bars here. How many DJs on these forums use VDJ as their main media playback system at weddings, parties, general "mobile DJ" business...?

I do mainly mobile gigs. i have actually for the first time used Virtual Dj successfully for the first time last week without any problems. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I use vDJ regularly for wedding receptions, celebration parties, pay parties and in the club ! Why do you ask ?
 
I ask purely out of curiosity. I see a lot of club and "bedroom" DJs here, just wasn't sure if there were others like me here.

I used to work in clubs and now do mostly weddings and corporate events in Auckland, New Zealand. I only purchased VDJ last week so it will be a few months before I realy start to use it at gigs. I am building a dedicated PC for the job.

Good to know there are others like me here on these forums. :)
 
Most linedances and some private partys. I use Mixstation 2 as I don't need all the stuff in VDJ. You made a good choice, I have been running this for up to 11 hours at a dance without a hickup.
 
I'm based in christchurch New Zealand, working as a mobile disco 21sts weddings birthday partys and corporate events.
I've tested out virtual Dj and found it to be a fun program to use and in my opinion much better than my previous program PCDJ.
 
Just when everyone here thought I was the only DJ in New Zealand, there's another one! :-D

Why is there no "mobile DJ" option in the VDJ profile? I think I'm set as a "club DJ" simply because I'm "none of the above".

I'm from Auckland. Hey idj4u you got your setup all sussed? I wouldn't mind catching up if you wanna jam together sumtime. I got a pair of xp10's.... what do you use with vdj?
 
i use vdj (and a lot more ofcourse) for homeparties and and other parties....
normaly for 50 / 100 people.....

people ask me to make music for there parties, and burn that on a cd...

I don't like to do parties late at night, every friday or/and saturday. I play when i want to....(and i always wanna play?!)

But you can wake me in the midle of the night for a karaokeparty.....that is a lot of fun....
 
hello guys :D I'm a mobile-dj too... I have a laptop, vdj and hercules dj console... :D it works fine!
wanna ask a little question too:
how old is the youngest VDJ (full) user?

(I'm not challenging anybody or something just askin :p cuz I'm 15)

Yeh Dave Do mobile work in Christchurch , New Zealand.
Using DMC-1 but looking at getting the new Behringer mixer/ controller when its released

I'm DJ'ing at a friends party on Saturday for free so I'll tell ya'z how it goes - will be my second gig kinda.... will grab some photos
 
I used to dj in the club, but now I dj mobile using tcv, every weekend here in San Diego CA
I do Wedding, school,college,sweet16,anniv. Etc.......
But I still don't trust vdj 2.06 (tcv) while mixing live
But I have back up: cdj,turntable, and window media player(my backup)

I am 85% mobile and 15% club. I use virtual DJ when I do Video or Karaoke events. I have been using it for a while. When not doing video I use Torq (Yeah, I know dead software, just sold company etc, etc. Stop laughing. It works for me)
 
100% mobile but always at the same venue ! +/-12 weddings a year and +/-12 others parties (Prom, Holidays ...)
 
Most of my gigs are weddings and private parties with some clubs and co-orperate gigs.
