Hey, DRZINC!

I'm in Toronto too and also bought the RMX but am having problems geting it to work properly.

You said you had no issues with setup so can you tell me what you did so I can emulate?

I'm currently using an old Hercules MK1 model on a brand new Dell laptop. VDJ 5.06.

I've downloaded the new drivers, but when I connect the RMX, and open VDJ, nothing happens.

Did you have to remove VDJ 5.06, then insert the VDJ 5.0 CD, then reinstall 5.06 for everything to work properly?

Holla!

Thanx,

Sirslick

I don't believe the RMX was supported until 5.0r7, upgrade your VDJ & everything should work;^]

Yep, you're right Timmy. And download the new hercules 2008 driver package for the RMX. You can get them Here

hehe, I always am, just like the time I bought those spinning rims. I knew they wouldn't make my snow mobile work on water..lol;^]

This VDJ community is the best - thanks!

OK, I've already downloaded the new drivers, but will also download 5.07 too...

You RMX users having any trouble with 4 or 8 beat loops saying in sync without apparent drift?

I noticed it Rick, but it was very subtle..and I was easily able to correct it via the jog/pitch bending.....

I don't use the effects or loops, so I couldn't tell you mate.

I might set it up tomorrow and have a play and see what conclusion I can come too.

@ marcel.

never said they had, and how could i, not been to toronto so i couldn't possibly know either way. only passing information given to me by hercules.

I am talking the RMX with the Pro version btw.
Set a loop 4 or 8 on one deck and load the same song on the other side and let it run.
I'm referring to club or electronica tracks with rock steady beats with no natural drift.

I realize that drift and bending is a normal function in mixing, but had a couple of Pro upgrade people notice it.
I tried it myself and thought I saw it, where actually the count actually changed from the intro.
It has never repeated for me.

Me too Rick..I use my RMX on one system and my Total Control on another..I do not notice the drift on the Total Control...but I do notice a mild drift with the RMX...I do not notice it when I am using my iCDX system on the same PC....
